The Struggle: About Me

     I have sort of already introduced myself, but I will do it again. My name is Mary, and I live in a small town outside of Austin, TX. I am a college student, and I currently go to school through Penn Foster. It's frustrating and time consuming, but I want that degree. I used to live in Reno, NV but I moved here over a year ago to finish school. I also just love Texas and the opportunity along with the people here.

     I love to travel and some of my best days were spent traveling with the Shearer family to different destinations of the US and working hard at Rodeos. Yes, the little hunter/jumper girl actually knows her way around rodeo people and rodeo horses. Strange isn't it? I miss my people back home, but I also love the opportunities and memories I am making here in Texas.

     I have ridden horses since I was 3yro, and I continue to work hard to become a "decent" rider. I am a member with colors with Red Rock Hounds fox hunting club. I have also dabbled in barrel racing, roping (with no success), gaited horses, mules (ugh, long story), and miniature horses with the help of one of my best friends (yes, I left a couple of those behind in Reno, too).

     I also enjoy watching movies, geocaching, history documentaries, nature, cooking, baking, and lying in bed eating ice cream with my boyfriend Giovanni. I work a veterinary clinic, following along in the footsteps of my mother (who happens to be my hero). I am a vet tech at Bulverde Animal Hospital, and it is a job that comes with a roller coaster of emotions. I am also a "foodie". There isn't much else entertaining about me, really. So I will fill the rest of this space up with some photos.

Did I forget to mention I love cows?
Especially little orphaned bucking cows like Diamond Ivory..
